Penny and bub - Week 6

WE HAD A BOY!!! Little Sebastian James arrived on Feb 5th at 3am, weighing in a healthy 8 pounds 4! He was a week overdue and came on the weekend of a heavy snow storm in Toronto… which was rather appropriate since he’s a Canadian born baby! It was gorgeous having a view from my hospital bed out over the city with the snow falling. But also meant a lot of layers of warmth just to get our newborn from hospital to the car in -15 degree weather!!
I was extremely grateful to have my mum over here from Australia for 4 weeks. What a huge help it was having the extra support and advise from someone who’s done it all before. Wow… being parents is a whole new world and is certainly a crash course that first few weeks!!
Sebastian is doing really well, his now 6 weeks and has been amazing so far with his sleeping and feeding, I’m counting my lucky stars…. I was even back on email & phone calls working for Il Tutto by week 3!! He has just started to smile which is so rewarding, and the weather is slowly getting warmer so I’m now able to take him out for walks longer than 10 minutes..!! I’m loving every minute being a new mum, it’s amazing… will post another blog soon with baby Seb’s updates!
